Hey guys! Watch me as I make Beef Lasagna! I absolutely love lasagna because it's one of those things you don't make very often, but when you do, it tastes soooo good. This recipe was super simple. I hope you enjoy! Ingredients: 2.5 lbs of ground beef (or preferred ground meat) 1 package of Italian sausage 1/2 green bell pepper 1/2 orange bell pepper 1 yellow onion Your favorite pasta sauce (I used almost one big jar of Prego) 1 (14.5 oz) can of diced tomatoes 1 (32 oz) container of ricotta cheese 2 eggs (beaten) 10-12 lasagna noodles (depends on how many layers you want...I made 2 layers) Parsley flakes Italian seasoning Black pepper Salt Garlic Powder Onion Powder McCormick Himalayan Pink Salt with Black Pepper and Garlic All Purpose Seasoning 1 tablespoon of sugar Mozzarella cheese (1.5 lbs?...I bought 2 big bags and used maybe 1.5 bags) *Season to your taste* INSTRUCTIONS Bring a pot of water to a boil. Your water can boil while you prep the other ingredients. Make sure you salt the water. Make the ricotta. Mix container of ricotta cheese with 2 eggs. Stir until combined. Season with parsley flakes and black pepper. Place in refrigerator until ready for use. Make the meat sauce. Brown your ground meat. Mix in bell peppers and onions. Cook until meat is done and vegetables are tender. Season the meat to your taste. Add one can of diced tomatoes and your favorite pasta sauce. Make it as if you’re making a meat sauce for spaghetti. Taste and adjust seasonings (if needed). Simmer the sauce. Set aside. Add lasagna noodles to the boiling water. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove noodles from pot. Rinse parboiled noodles with cold water. The noodles will continue to cook in the oven. Assemble the lasagna. Spray your pan with non-stick cooking spray. Put a little bit of the meat sauce on the bottom of the pan. Place lasagna noodles on top of sauce—overlap the noodles a little bit. Spread the ricotta mixture on top of the noodles. Add meat sauce and spread. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Repeat this process until you complete the desired number of layers. I used a 9 x 13 inch pan, which resulted in two layers. I had sauce left over. Bake in 375 degree (Fahrenheit) oven for 45 minutes or so. Times may vary depending on your oven. Let cool for at least 10-15 minutes before cutting. Serve with salad and garlic bread. Enjoy!
