This is a 1/2" Ram Pump. Normally this pump needs a drive pipe that is only 100 feet long or less. Because this install has a water source with low head pressure I needed to increase the length of the drive pipe to 200 feet. This slows down the pressure wave and also makes it hard to remove the air from the line. I install a stand pipe to bring the water source closer and help reduce the air in the line. This Hydraulic Ram Pump takes 4 feet of input head pressure and lifts it to around 25 feet up the hill.
