WIN MP Calls for Meeting to Elect Region 10 Leadership

WIN Member of Parliament Ryan Richards has raised concerns about what he described as a continuing leadership vacuum at the Regional Democratic Council in Region 10, warning that the absence of an elected chairman and vice chairman is affecting governance and oversight in the region. Speaking at a press conference hosted by We Invest in Nationhood, Richards said the delay has prevented the council from convening statutory and committee meetings, limiting the ability of elected councillors to address issues raised by residents. He also noted that other administrative vacancies—including the absence of a Deputy Regional Executive Officer and Assistant REO—have further weakened oversight within the regional administration. Richards called on the Regional Executive Officer to reconvene the meeting required to elect the region’s leadership so that the council can resume normal operations.
