In the summer of 2017, Eastwood was given unique access to one of Peter Hook’s original Shergold Marathon 6 Bass guitars, an instrument that has always been a core part of Hooky’s unique style/sound, and an integral part of the sound of Joy Division and New Order. With this level of accessibility to a Hooky original Shergold, Eastwood was able to go into microscopic detail, and, pretty much, create a clone of it. The huge popularity of the Hooky Bass 6 PRO got Eastwood thinking, what if we go at this from the other direction - take a Bass 6 and scale it up to the baritone range? What would that sound like? The answer is it sounds fantastic and different from any other baritone I've ever played. The most important element of the Hooky Baritone PRO is that it gives you a new sonic platform to experiment with and create your own unique sound. With its wider fretboard and ‘substantial’ feel, it’s well suited to precision playing and has an exceptionally defined platform to build your sound from with single note articulation unlike anything else we’ve experienced.
