Foundry Travel Humidor from General Cigars Unboxing and Review

Here is a beautiful 25 to 30 count travel Humidor from the Foundry Tobacco Company. I won this humidor at Foundry/CAO tasting at 2nd Street Cigar Lounge & Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles. The rep for the area from General Cigars, Tim, was awesome and the shop owner was just as great. This humidor measures 8" by 7 1/2" by 4 3/8" and feels very well made. The outside of the humidor is covered in a soft leather like material and has decorative metal guards on all four corners. There is also a handle on one side; it feels a bit like holding a very heavy lunch box, but works perfectly. The locking mechanism is a simple latch that flips out and holds the two lids together. Of course, this is all hidden inside of the metal casing so you can't actually see it happening when you lock it, but you can feel it when you do. I really like this lock. To open it, you need a 50 ring gauge cog that comes with the Foundry No. 1 Wells cigar as a band. You can even wear it as a ring if you're carrying the humidor out for trip. Either way, the cog is needed to lock and unlock the box(unless you want to risk damaging it). All in all, this is a pretty kick-ass humidor. It feels too heavy, personally, to use it for traveling, but i will definitely make a space on my office table for this. Cant wait to get started. Thanks for watching.
