First Time Mom All Natural Home Birth | 12 hour labor, positive birth story

Our first born, Rhea Belle Ono, has officially entered the world. She was born on March 11th, 2023 weighing 6lbs and 12oz. She is half Japanese and half American and is the most beautiful creation in our eyes. Ryoji and I had many discussions before deciding to post this video of my home birth. It shows me in my most raw and natural state as a woman giving birth to her child. Posting myself in such a vulnerable state is definitely a first for me, but after going through the experience of childbirth I believe that it's something we don't have to feel the need to hide or be ashamed of. All of us are able to live in this world due to the hard work our mothers put in for us to get here. I don't know if I necessarily believe that child birth is beautiful, but I had never experienced an event in my life that was so painful, powerful and special as childbirth. I hope that sharing this video doesn't scare women, but encourages them to use their bodies as nature intended and to feel proud of their womanhood! I am proud of myself for completing this home birth journey and absolutely thrilled that I finally get to spend every day with my daughter here beside me. The pain was worth it and I would do it a thousand times over to get to be with my Rhea girl. Huge shoutout to Haven Birth and Wellness for making this birth possible!
