Iran Seeks 'US Investment' Ahead of Oman Talks, Russia Says 'World Tired Of Trump's Bombing Threats'

President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran was not seeking a nuclear bomb ahead of what Iran calls “indirect” talks with the US. Pezeshkian said Iran welcomed American investors but opposed “their flawed policies, such as conspiracies and attempts at regime change.” The Iranian president added that Tehran “will not retreat from our scientific and technological achievements.” Earlier, Russia has slammed ‘endless bombing threats against Iran’, urging instead a diplomatic approach to the dispute over Tehran's nuclear program. Moscow also warned against the “illegal and unacceptable” use of “military force by Iran's adversaries to achieve their goals.” Separately, the Kremlin said Iran was justified in taking “protective measures against the quite harsh rhetoric" by the US and Israel. The remarks from Tehran’s key ally come amid heightened US-Iran tensions over the latter’s nuclear program. Iran and the US are set to hold talks in Oman on April 12, US President Donald Trump said earlier this week.
