I absolutely love this place. Located on the beautiful West Coast of California in a county called Humboldt lies one of the most serene places on earth. Right now the Godwits are migrating through, and you will see them in this video. For a little bit of background on the Arcata Marsh, this place was actually once referred to as the "Duck Pond" and was basically a place filled with man-made lakes. Since then, though, Arcata put through a motion to reclaim the marsh and restore it to what it once was: wetlands. It's been great to see nature reclaim its territory and the wild return to this place once again.
