Europhoria was formed when Marcus "M-Rax", a rising rapper from the underground techno scene, and Elena, a powerhouse vocalist from the local gospel choirs, were booked for the same session by mistake. The chemistry was instant. Under the guidance of mysterious producers who wanted to capture the "energy of the midnight sun," they recorded "Summer Party" in just one night. They created a track that perfectly blended the aggressive German Eurodance sound with the melodic pop sensibilities of Sweden. Released in June 1995, the song shot straight to #1 on the charts.
