Welcome to my double feature weekend. This Spring I sat down with my other college friend, Eddie! The unofficial mayor of Winchester Center, Eddie, has been a part of Northwestern Connecticut Community College’s history for at least 4 decades. Eddie has been hard of hearing his whole life. He attended America’s first School For The Deaf in Hartford, Connecticut, and continued his learning at a small community college in Winstead, Connecticut. Eddie opens up about growing up in the '60s/'70s, being a single dad, and how the deaf community and Northwestern have impacted his life. Eddie is the definition of kindness and has made many friends over the years - including me!
