[VERIFIED] APOLLO // TOP 1 LAYOUT LIST

After almost 2 years, the story of Apollo is finished. It all started so long ago, when me and ‪@zReflexGD‬ in a demonlist public vc. A random person joined, and asked if anyone would want to see the layout they finished. We were the only ones that watched, and we thought it was really cool. Eventually we ended up playing, and I got 65-100. At the time, this was a top 50, and my hardest was Bloodbath, so I had no intention of verifying. Later I decided to try. I played for a month or two, until we got a decorator to finish his part, that being @AelaexaendaerGD. Afterwards, the projects slowly fell to irrelevance, meanwhile I grew a great friendship with both nootfluke, owen, and alex. Then both Owen and nootfluke created a level called Atropos. I got lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to verify it. I played for a little over a month, until I decided to give Owen the verification. At that point, it was the end of the road. Apollo was dead, Atropos was given to Owen, and at the time I was really rounding myself off as a player, coming off completions like Slaughterhouse and Sakupen Circles. Eventually, nootfluke messaged me and said he wanted to change Apollo for the layout list, and he wanted me to verify. Almost immediately after, it started. On the first day, 65-100. A few days later, I learned the entire level. It had some changed gameplay which took a bit of time. Eventually I was ready to go from 0. At this time, I was playing Aeternus, so my attention wasn’t fully focused on Apollo. I managed to get a run of 95, which was brutal. After that, I got a big mind block and almost quit. Eventually, with the help of nootfluke. I got back. I played most days, usually getting good runs, always dying between 82-88. Eventually I got 98% which was one of my worst fails ever. Then today, I got on and after making a few buffs and nerfs, I verified Apollo. Hopefully this isn’t the end to my journey. I would love this to get deco’ed one day. Until then, this level reigns as the hardest Layout List Level.
