What a year this has been for interactive entertainment. Right off the bat we playing bangers like Doom Eternal and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Animal Crossing provided a much needed time sink. The Half-Life series FINALLY retuned. Tony Hawk and Crash made glorious returns and Sony closed the book on the PS4 with The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. Plus we finally saw the release of new consoles that no one can buy! Now we are here on the eve of 2021, a year sure to bring more hype, surprises, controversy and joy from a medium we love so very much. But before we go charging into the future I think we should take the time to look fondly into the past. This is my list of the top 5 best 2020 games. Five video games that made me jump for joy the most. Please keep in mind this is my own personal, subjective list so keep those pitchforks down.
