In this video, I take a trip from Macksville down to South West Rocks using the 7:10 AM NSW TrainLink coach (normally an XPT) from Macksville to Kempsey Railway Station. From Kempsey Station, I walked to the main Kempsey bus stop on Belgrave Street. From here, I caught the 9:25 AM Cavanagh’s bus service (Route 348), which took me to South West Rocks. Along the way, we passed through the historic town of Gladstone. Upon arrival in South West Rocks, I take you on a tour of the town and its beautiful beaches before catching the bus back to Kempsey and then the afternoon XPT back to Macksville. Cavanagh’s Bus Service (Route 348 - South West Rocks to Kempsey): https://transportnsw.info/documents/t... Cavanagh's website is at: https://www.cavanaghbus.com.au/ Fare Information: Train (XPT): I used my Seniors Card to book a Country Pensioner Excursion fare through an NSW TrainLink agent. The return fare from Macksville to Kempsey was only $2.50. This fare is available to all Seniors Card holders (you don’t need to be on a pension) but must be booked 7 days or less before departure. Bus (Kempsey → South West Rocks): The fare was just $2.50 after showing my Seniors Card to the driver. Note: No Opal cards are accepted - cash only on this route. Important Bus Stop Note: The afternoon bus back to Kempsey departs from the small bus shelter near the road in front of Kempsey Station (not the main station entrance). Only NSW TrainLink coaches stop directly at the station. I hope this information helps if you’re planning a trip to South West Rocks! Cheers, Kerry
