FRANCE, Paris : La Bagagerie has collaborated with designer Gaspard Yurkievich for the launch of a new collection of bags and leather clothing for next winter, called "BAGGY". The designer has produced two lines, Paris and New York, and has nicknamed each accessory after muses from the 70s (Loulou, Grace, Betty, Paloma..etc) We find all the details dear to Mr Yurkievitch, including bows, studs and pleats. A leather clothing line will be added to this collection which is already a source of envy INTERVIEW (in french) Frédéric Marlaix, President of the executive board at La Bagagerie: This brings us a different vision because we do fashion accessories but we do leather goods first and foremost whereas Gaspard has a more general, more global vision with his ready-to-wear, his couture and so that's opened our eyes a bit. INTERVIEW (in french) Gaspard Yurkievich, designer It's a meeting of interposed people but above all it came from their reflection on lots of lines who have their own ambassadors and in terms of strategy they wanted more of a designer as their ambassador, to communicate instead through a designer, and we met little by little and we said it would be interesting to create this line called "baggy" which is our name "La Bagagerie" shortened along with my initials Gaspard Yurkievich so that this wouldn't just be a matter of communication and that we're going a bit further. The idea was to define "baggy", so "baggy" is a union between La Bagagerie with bags at very reasonable prices and which are more urban, like the bags we carry around with us every day.
