Bake, Broil & Brew - 2013 Annual Culinary Creativity Cook-Off

Bake, Broil & Brew whisked up some culinary competition with the 3rd Annual Culinary Creativity Cook-Off Contest, which asked applicants to submit a 500 words or less essay between January 14th and February 1st, discussing their inspiration for culinary creativity, their "aha" moment, and an ideal day in the life as a culinary entrepreneur. Judges narrowed down the applications to three finalists, Schervy Ortiz, Ponce de Leon Coquito, Karen Jones, Crafty Karen's Bakery, and Jenny Hagendorf, devouRD, each of which competed for the grand prize of 20 free hours of commercial kitchen rental time at the Bake, Broil & Brew facility by presenting the same panel of judges with their most creative recipe at this year's 3rd Annual Culinary Creativity Cook-Off Contest. Festivities for the contest included music, and samplings from some of Bake, Broil & Brew's own clients. The winner of this years contest was Jenny Hagendorf of DevouRD, she walked away with 20 free hours of time in the "BBB" kitchen, $250 Deposit Contribution donated by ACCION, $100 in product donated by Ace Mart Restaurant Supply, and a gift certificate donated by Food Safety Direct.
