Big Bear Eagle Cam ~ Shadow & Mrs BB. Spend The Night Together~ Both Vocalize 7.25.18

Mrs. BB flies in to the nest with a stick first and then goes to her branch and waits for Shadow to fly in. Shadow arrives with a stick in his beak!! He places it and starts to move his pine cones. He is in the process of moving his pinecone when Mrs BB drops down to the nest. Watch as Shadow protects his pine cone and takes it before Mrs could grab it. At 4:55 Mrs BB is digging & it looks like Shadow is trying to get something off her beak - Mrs. BB responds by beaking. At 4:56 a good example showing the size differences in beak size & weight. Males are about 30% smaller than the female. Mrs BB goes to her branch and Shadow stays longer on the nest. Then he follows her and perches close to her and starles her awake. She vocalizes. And again at 21:00 Mrs is preening & Shadow rouses and they both exchange vocals!! I love hearing Shadows voice. Tonight they remained like this on the branch for the first time overnight - reaching a new milestone in their relationship together. Thank you for watching!
