No talking, just driving. Fancy watching me drive this track in a 33 year old Porsche 924S? • 1986 Porsche 924S 2.5 Track Drive (Castle ... Summary: My track day drive around Castle Combe in one of 2019's latest hot hachbacks, and a car I've really admired, the latest Suzuki Swift Sport 1.4 Boosterjet. Turbocharged for the first time, this hot hatch has more power (138bhp), 40lb ft more torque (162lb ft), is 80kg lighter (980kg in total) than the old normally aspirated car. Not to mention, it will return 51mpg. This little car was thrashed by someone on our track day, every 15 minutes for 5 hours, and there was still some tread left on the tyres by the end of it. Not many cars are driven this hard for this long, it did extremely well, also considering this car was registered only a couple of months before, it can't have been run in properly yet (some say running in is no longer required, but come on, that engine needs to bed in properly). This is an excellent little car, and I would seriously consider buying one, if I was in the market for a hot hatch. It's well screwed together, it's composed, its suspension isn't harsh like a Ford Fiesta ST's. They cost around £17,000 and whoile 138 bhp might not sound like much these days, the torque and lightness make this an exceptional track day weapon. I took the first couple of laps easy in this as I got a feel of the car, but towards the end of the session I was hitting 110 mph on the straights.
