Goa has a network of waterways passing through it. Some even with islands in them. The ferries in Goa began as a means to connect regions that do not have direct or quicker access by road. There are approximately twenty different ferries all around North Goa and South Goa that ply throughout the day at 15-30 minute intervals. JumpCut Goa presents a short documentary on the Ferries of Goa. We visited the Tiswadi sub-district one weekend and spoke to some of the passengers during our ferry rides to the islands.
