Louisiana has had a long history of hurricanes devastating the state, and 2020 was a harsh reminder of this state of affairs. As we go through the 2021 Hurricane Season, we'll complete a six-part series recounting the more than five dozen hurricanes to have made landfall on Louisiana's coast in recorded history. This episode covers the hurricanes striking the state from the near-miss of Hurricane Camille in 1969 to the 2005 Hurricane Season, including the twin disasters of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
