For effective pronation, begin by positioning the baby on the Baby Prone, choosing the size that fits the newborn best. The four different positioners in this range feature a unique hourglass shape that utilizes gravity to support the baby’s natural positioning. This design facilitates ventral support, rounding of the shoulders and hips, flexion of the lower limbs, and proper alignment of the head and trunk. As you position the baby, ensure that their hands are naturally turned towards their mouth, encouraging visual awareness and promoting correct hand-mouth alignment. Slightly rotate the baby's face to provide lateral support for the cheek, which enhances comfort. Just like in lateral positioning, special attention must be paid to the decubitus of the ear—a sensitive pressure point. It's vital to incorporate head mobility activities in regular cycles to prevent pressure sores and ensure the baby's comfort.
