Trains at York Station Throughout March 2025

Here’s a large selection of video clips recorded at York Station throughout the month of March 2025. It’s been a good month for filming at York, with plenty of special appearances to look out for. Two different steam locomotives are featured in this video, with the first one being the famous A3 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ returning to the NRM after spending a few weeks at NVR, and the second is Black 5 45212 which I saw operating the return leg of The Whitby Flyer tour before being swapped out with 86259 ‘Les Ross’, and the same locomotive is seen at the end of the video NRM bound, to be serviced for the Edinburgh Flyer tour the next day. Other things to look out for include an Avanti West Coast Class 805 heading to Wembley, a ScotRail Turbostar heading to Doncaster Wabtec, a Europhoenix Class 37 and a few other light loco moves, mixed with the regular passenger and freight workings. I was aware of the ‘Project Electra’ test train visiting York, however I was unable to capture it due to being in college…. oh well. Hope you enjoy this long 2 hour film.
