There is a white, silver and black model and the black model is definitely the one that you want to buy if you're upgrading from a GoPro HD Hero 2. The HD Hero 2 is already a great camera that I own and love. The only incentive for me to upgrade would be 60 FPS at 1080P instead of the 30FPS at 1080P that I get currently with my GoPro HD Hero 2. Only the GoPro HD Hero3 Black is 60 FPS at 1080P. The GoPro HD Hero3 White and GoPro HD Hero3 Silver are both only 30FPS. I'd say Go with GoPro HD Hero3 White if you're a new owner and want to save money. Go GoPro HD Hero3 Black if you're upgrading. Otherwise, you'll pretty much just be getting a smaller form-factor and will have to buy new batteries and memory cards for minimal performance gain. I love GoPro and plan to get a Black soon!
