6 Le Tour du Léman | Sailing around Lake Geneva | Day 6

It's Day 6 and I'm finally going to sail into Geneva harbor. The winds were light and the sun was hot. On the way I received a message from my cousin Cedric to meet up for a beer at a little coastal town called Coppet. He was also cruising the lake for a few days with his girlfriend. Then I continued downwind in the "Petit Lac" portion of Lake Geneva. It's called that because it is the narrowest part of the lake. On the way I found a message in a bottle, went for a swim and generally had a gentle cruise until my boat got caught in the river current just as I was entering the Eaux Vives marina. Good thing my outboard motor started up so I could cruise by the iconic Jet d'Eau de Genève fountain and found a free slip to spend the night in Switzerland's famous international city. Word of warning for overnight cruisers, there are no bathroom facilities in this marina.
