Rosie meets Reading! Full-Route Journeys | Yellow Route 26 to Calcot, Ikea | Enviro400H | MRD1 - 201

It's not our first full-route journey, but it is my first and our first full-route journey I've ever been on or recorded in Reading! Welcome to the Reading Buses Yellow Route 26! Route 26 begins at Reading Station (like most Reading Buses routes) and it extends out to Calcot, Ikea via Southcote, Ford's Farm and Beansheaf. It's not the only one! The Jet Black Route 1 travels via Bath Road past Calcot on its way to Newbury! Next week, we'll show you our ride back. :) But this is my first time on the 26. I've only been on routes 5, 6, 11 and 26 so far. This was very exciting for Rosie and I! The 26, if it doesn't get the occasional generic buses that almost all of the Reading Buses get, has branded Yellow Euro 4 Enviro400Hs. Most are plated SN60 to SN11, but one of them is plated MRD 1 (which so happens to be our lucky bus!). The fleet list says they are Euro 5, but they sound a bit different to the SN61s that Abellio and Go-Ahead London have which are Euro 5s.
