3-alarm warehouse fire, April 1989

Tampa fire crews take on a fire in a vacant warehouse near the Channelside area south of downtown. Video by Chuck Sutnick, TFD Video-1 (ret) At the beginning of this video there is a brief newscast about the fire, then several minutes of raw video. At the end of the video it's the next day and Tampa fire investigators are beginning the task of determining the fire cause. In the late 1980's the Tampa downtown area now known as "Channelside" was full of old deteriorating warehouses. Many of these buildings were empty. A number of them met the same fate as this building did.
