What we made for Eid.

This is my little Eid Film of us making food. As usual it's me, my sisters and my mom making the food. It’s one of my favorite parts about Eid after Eid money (although I don't receive it anymore except from my brother) . For this Eid I tried filming all the food we made and I still missed a few dishes. For this Eid I wanted to focus on making small size food. A few days before Eid we made a big batch of dumplings, and we froze. I made a semolina cake which I didn’t get to add in this video. The day before Eid, we started the dough for Sfiha, then my mom and sisters were making the Sfiha while I was making the Jelly cake. My sister tried to recreate this Tiramisu we had in Rome and I think she came pretty close to that restaurant. We took a little break and went to our local Chaand Raat market as we go every year just to try some food and look around the clothes and jewelry. After we came home, my sister prepared her Maqluba ingredients for Eid and by the time we slept it was almost 5am. On the day of Eid after my parents came from Eid prayers my sister made her Maqluba and my younger sister made her Charcuterie board. We put our henna on the day of Eid because we were too busy making food. We went around other family houses and ate a lot. Everyone came to our house at night, ate, laughed, and ended the Eid day.
