LulzBot had a live RepRap demonstration at CES 2018. They made 5 printers a day (20 total) with the aid of their on-site printer farm. We talked to Harris Kenny of Aleph Objects and he told us about the newest products from LulzBot. They worked with E3D to make the Aerostruder Tool Head, featuring the Titan Aero. The V3 of their dual extruder is now available and specifically made to work with water soluble support materials. To make bed swapping easier, the Taz and Taz Mini now have modular bed upgrades. On the software side of things, Cura has an updated interface and expanded advanced user settings. Aleph Objects is also working with the Blender Institute to create more intuitive software for 3D design. As well as open source 3D printers, Aleph Objects has also been working with IC3D on open source filament. Why? For better transparency for customers such as governmental groups and to help increase filament quality overall.
