Preserving the Last Days of Summer in our Tiny Narrowboat Kitchen

It’s late summer here on the canal and the hedgerows around our narrowboat are overflowing with fruit. This week we’ve been busy in our tiny kitchen, turning blackberries, apples and other foraged bits into jars to see us through the months ahead. Our little pantry is starting to look nicely stocked with a crème de mûre, a chutney, a tincture or two and a few flavoured vinegars perfect for winter salad dressings.
