A climb up Longstaff's Col and a peek inside Nanda Devi Inner Sanctuary| With some Film Music

I first read about Tom Longstaff's Kumaon and Garhwal explorations in 2012. Back then, I did not know if I would even stay in India after graduating college, much less that my life would take the trajectory it has taken. In 2023 I got an invitation from my friend Mayukh to be a part of an expedition to Longstaff's Col/Nanda Devi Khal. Having learnt from the failures seen in pre-monsoon seasons of 2022 and 2023 I suggested going in early June than May. We got good and stable weather and reached the Col on 15th June 2024. Getting to meet Marko Prezelj at base camp became an icing on the cake. I had been reading about Marko's climbs probably since 2017. I can't even explain how I felt on meeting him in reality. But more than that, it was the learning that happened, the new doors his wise words opened in my mind that I will forever be grateful for. I wanted to compile a video from some visuals that I had shot on my phone and camera, again more for the love of film music than to showcase my journey.
