The name Nujabes is his real name spelled backwards (Jun Seba). He would've been 50 years young this month. Seba owned a record store, Guinness Records, and founded his own independent record label, Hyde Out Recordings. He was also one of the most prolific contributors to the soundtrack of the critically acclaimed anime series Samurai Champloo, which blends a feudal Japanese setting with modern anachronisms, especially in regard to hip-hop culture. These herbalized chill bops were curated from feelings and memories i last had with my dad when i first discovered Nujabes.
