In this video, my demo instrument in a uke but the method for guitar and uke is exactly the same- actually, the curves on a guitar have a larger radius so they are much easier to do. I don't think i mention this specifically but keep the wood moving, rock it side to side to more evenly distribute the heat so you minimise the possibility of creating littles 'steps' or facetes in the wood, ie lots of flat spots instead of a nice even curve. The product i use is called SuperSoft- most people use it only on figured woods but ive been using it for most things. Note- What looks like smoke is the super soft steaming off.
