Video recorded by Mrinali Goyal captures the moments leading up to the incident, as smoke, sirens, and the sounds of drifting fill the streets. A person dressed in a blue hoodie is seen standing in the middle of the intersection, getting dangerously close to the vehicle before eventually being struck. “I had never seen anything like, this so my senses were overloaded,” Goyal told Storyful. “The man literally got hit and run over. And the cars continued to do donut burnouts.” The individual who was struck is later seen getting up on their own and walking away, while the car continues to drift and spin out near pedestrians. The video also shows a squad of police vehicles that were down the street but prevented from intervening by a jam of cars.
