PURPOSE & MISSION This stream connects the offline world to the Internet. It runs in 6-hour segments starting at 0000, 0600, 1200, and 1800 US Central Time. Using real ham radio gear, I demonstrate offline communication, share my art and music, and speak on technology, skepticism, and influencer culture. • HF data via 40m NVIS dipole using FT8 or JS8Call • VHF audio via a live 2m repeater, linked to the South Coast Reflector: https://southcoastreflector.com/ • This is real over-the-air radio — not SDRs, not simulations ➡️ Bookmark the main feed:    / @jonvaltandtheevilrobots   The worldwide HF band comes alive at night. As darkness falls westward, signals flow between Asia and the Americas, and later Europe. These hours often coincide with my interactive segments. During the day, you'll mostly hear local VHF voices and fewer HF datagrams. WHAT YOU’RE SEEING This is a hybrid livestream: • Real-time FT8 decodes on screen • VHF voice audio streamed live • Narration and music from me, on and off camera • Discord relay: FT8 data → chat, VHF audio → voice channel The only Internet part is this stream. Everything else—radio signals, voices, data—is over the air. WHEN I'M NOT ON CAMERA Even when the cam is off, you’ll hear me now and then, as a narrator or radio voice. All decodes and audio are from live, real radios. I also check Discord regularly and will often respond there during “non-interactive” hours. WHEN I AM ON CAMERA These are the interactive moments. I may be in the shack tuning the bands, chatting with viewers, or sharing live music and philosophy. This is when we hang out, talk, and explore the airwaves together. Want to catch those moments? As more folks join, I’ll add more interactive features—letting you trigger parts of the stream or send messages to be read live. NO INFLUENCER NONSENSE I’m not here to collect “followers” or fake a fanbase. I’m trying to find the right people—not more people. So don’t expect mass-subscribe drives or clickbait. You’ll never see me sell out to ads or brands. This is about using the tools we’ve been given for something real. Tips help, but I’m not chasing profit or YouTube stardom. Your presence matters.
