The Duratec engine build is almost complete — and this episode is a big step forward. With the bottom end sealed, the sump fitted, and all the ancillaries starting to take shape, the engine finally looks like a complete unit again. But of course, nothing is ever straightforward… The dipstick tube needed welding, so today includes a bit of fabrication work to get everything fitting perfectly. It’s one of those satisfying days where lots of small jobs come together and the engine actually starts to look finished.
