The Duratec engine build is almost complete — and this episode is a big step forward. With the bottom end sealed, the sump fitted, and all the ancillaries starting to take shape, the engine finally looks like a complete unit again. But of course, nothing is ever straightforward… The dipstick tube needed welding, so today includes a bit of fabrication work to get everything fitting perfectly. It’s one of those satisfying days where lots of small jobs come together and the engine actually starts to look finished. If you're following the full rebuild, we’re now at the point where the next major milestone is dropping it back into the Formula 27.
