Tennessee has a naturally Occuring gas called Radon. It is important that you have the home tested during the home inspection process to make sure the levels aren't too high. 2. In Tennessee we get a lot of heavy rain. It is important that you look at the slope of the yard in relation to the home to make sure everything will drain properly when a heavy rain occurs. 3. When you buy a home in Tennessee there will be a one time tax on the purchase price at closing.
