FROM EAST TO WEST MV Svenja transports 800 t river cruise vessel AQUA NERA from Vietnam to Brazil Luxury leisure travellers can soon embark on an Amazon adventure in style and comfort. Our MV Svenja made all that possible. Made in Vung Tau, Vietnam, the 62.4 x 11.5 x 13.6 m-large river cruise vessel had to embark MV Svenja to comfortably travel all the way to Outeiro (Belém) in Brazil. “For us at SAL, it is exciting to see that our business in the Americas is expanding. With Intermarine at our side, we now have a strong partner who knows the area like the back of their hand. We look forward to jointly supporting the local markets and regions with our heavy lift shipping services and profound knowledge. We are excited to see which ventures are yet to come,” said Jürgen Kuntz, Senior Manager Chartering & Projects. The newly built river cruise vessel travelled a great distance, but did not reach its final destination in the port of Outeiro. It will continue its journey all the way to the town of Nauta, close to Iquitos, Peru. Here, it will be used for tourism, offering luxury river cruises to explore the upper reaches of the Peruvian Amazon. The river cruise vessel has 20 suites (30 m²) across two decks, which hold up to three passengers each. We wish the AQUA NERA fair winds and following seas. Thank you to our colleagues and the crew of MV Svenja for their great work. The project was carried out in cooperation with Project & Chartering Buxtehude, together with their client FLS Projects in Thailand.
