Redbull rider Danny MacAskill rides the New Bosch Performance CX R (Race)motor with us as we try the new 100Nm of Torque and 750w of peak with 400% of assistance. The new motor has 25% more support, is very quiet and the rider has exceptional control also made possible by the new EMTB+ power mode. The software for Performance CX Smart System motors is available from July. The motors that will receive the updates will be the BDU 38 which is the current Performance CX. The new Bosch CX -R motor will be released with the 400 percent update. The Gen 4 motor smart system variant, will receive the EMTB+ update but no power upgrade. All software upgrades are free. This means that a 3-4000 euro bike will have some very punchy software, bargain! We also talk to the Bosch product manager about how the motor works and why they choose these specifications.
