This is the third and final part of CGC Submission #14, and unfortunately, the return continues to go further off the rails. In this video, I unbox the remaining slabs and walk through results that are difficult to reconcile with both pre-screen expectations and visible book condition. At this point in the submission, the outcomes raise serious questions around grading consistency, whether the books were reviewed under time pressure, and what to do when results fall well outside reasonable variance. Several of these books are strong candidates for resubmission, and I explain why, which ones I’m considering cracking and re-sending, and how I evaluate whether a resub makes economic sense. Books covered in this video: New Teen Titans #2 Web of Spider-Man #32 (Newsstand) X-Men #136 Punisher Limited Series #5 (Newsstand) Raiders #1 (Newsstand) Return of the Jedi #1 (Newsstand) Return of the Jedi #2 (Newsstand) Return of the Jedi #3 (Newsstand) Return of the Jedi #4 (Newsstand) This video is not about outrage — it’s about submission risk, grading variance, and dealing with worst-case outcomes in the real world, though the pain is real! If you submit books to CGC, or are thinking about doing so, this is the side of grading that doesn’t get talked about enough.
