ESPN SportCenter's Hannah Storm Recalls Her Grilling Accident

ESPN SportsCenter Anchor Hannah Storm was seriously injured when her propane gas grill exploded on December 11, 2012. Hannah was getting dinner ready that night when the flames of the grill were extinguished by wind. She reignited the grill and was immediately overcome by a ball of fire. The accident caused first- and second-degree burns on her head, face, chest, and hands. Hannah’s experience is a painful lesson about the dangers of propane gas grills when not operated properly. She emphasizes how important it is to read the instructions of your grill, what to do if the flames go out, and how to prevent injuries like the ones she sustained.
