What is it, how to set it up, and how to use it in 2025? Let’s find out! I’ve set up an account to test everything I possibly can. I’ll walk you through the essentials - let me tell you what treasures hide in the 1Password vaults. ------------------------------------------------------------ 🔑 1Password Features & Capabilities 🔑 🗂️ Multiple Vaults Multiple Vaults allow me to organize all of my sensitive information instead of just keeping it in one lump. It also makes it easier to share if I need to, as I can share multiple folders and vaults at once instead of doing them one by one. 🔦 Watchtower This feature keeps you reminded if it detects any issues. It might sound annoying but it only keeps you updated on everything that might go wrong, from weak passwords to compromised log-ins. ✈️ Travel Mode Not all the information is travel-safe, but I can mark which vaults are. Let’s say I go to Mexico for a couple of days, so the vaults that are not travel-safe will be locked meanwhile. ❌ 1Password X It can be used on five browsers, which are Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and as of recently Brave and Safari as well. So yeah, it includes all of the most popular browsers. I personally found the X version to be very useful as it saves a ton of time when shopping. It recognizes credit card or address fields and I can autofill the information. ------------------------------------------------------------ 🔑 1Password Tutorial 🔑 ▶️ Once you have a plan, it is time to download the app, install it, and then you will have to enter your email address and receive a six-digit authentication code to log in. ▶️ Generate the master password and, of course, keep it safe. ▶️ Handle the payment information. ▶️ The All Items folder is the main view. You can just add items from here, simply click the New Item button. A pretty standard process. ▶️ And what if I want to import some data? That’s where the browser version comes in. If I click on the username right there, I can choose import, then where my data is coming from and lastly, I just put a CVS file in there. ▶️ To keep things from getting messy, I can use the Vaults. To add one, I only need to click the plus button, and then give a name to a vault. If I like, I can also give it an icon and add a description. Then, I can add items to the vault just like in the main folder. Once I have multiple vaults, I can easily move items between them. ▶️ If I wanna modify the vault, let’s say, mark it as travel-safe, all I need to do is right-click on it in the sidebar, click “manage access” and from there, it directs me to the browser. It’s not complicated, but there may be a few more extra steps than I would like. ------------------------------------------------------------ Final thoughts ➡️ Hey, congratulations.
