In 1978, three years after Jean Wells founded the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show™, she had the idea to bring in a well-known quilter to give a lecture during the show. It was quite popular, so the next year, three workshops were added and Quilter's Affair was born. We've evolved from that one lecture to around 3 dozen teachers and over 90 workshops, with a week packed full of events, lectures and fun! Quilter's Affair draws a wide spectrum of quilters and makers of all skill levels. Stitchin’ Post was founded in 1975 by Jean Wells in Sisters, OR. Jean, and her daughter Valori, still own and run the shop as a maker's mercantile offering quality supplies for many crafts and fiber arts. We believe in customer service, education, and supporting both our local and the maker communities. We’re also the founder of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show and Quilter's Affair.
