Growing a business Instagram account in 2020 isn't easy but it is possible. In this video I outline 6 steps to help you grow your business' Instagram page organically for FREE. 1. Bio: Once someone clicks on your page they typically start by reading your bio. This is your first opportunity and introduce yourself. As the saying goes, you only have one chance at a first impression. Maximize it by making it clean, concise and on brand with your business' brand and personality. Beyond that, leverage the "link in bio" with a strong call to action to motivate people to move to the next step in your funnel where you can strengthen the relationship and increase the likelihood of acquiring the customer. 2. Content: Set up a schedule you know you can maintain and be consistent with. Be honest with yourself. More is better but consistency is the key. Assign days in your calendar to batch produce content to make posting an easy process. Supplement this schedule with spontaneous content whenever an opportunity presents itself to connect with your audience and show off your strengths and personality. Remember to always use a location on the post for an extra bump tp exposure. 3. Follow For Follow: This is a tried-and-true method that simply works. Do it strategically and methodically for best results. Target the followings of competitors in your niche or area to increase relevancy. Also don't go overboard with this, the goal is not to be spammy and be penalized but rather grow your community. 4. Be Active: As your following grows enhance the level of community by commenting and interacting with the people who have decided to join yours. Spend a small amount of time each day or week to comment and leave genuine comments on your followers pictures. So few business' do this, allowing you to really stand out. Don't miss this opportunity. 5. Shout Outs: This is a key element of growth. Be generous with shout outs to customers and other business', as it will encourage them to do the same. Also, whenever possible promote your customers to provide you with shout outs. They act as both free publicity/exposure but also testimonials. Think about what you could incorporate into your business to promote shout outs and sharing. 6. Use Hashtags: Strategic hash tags are a far under utilized FREE resource available on Instagram. This is largely because people are simply unaware and uneducated on them. Use relevant hash tags in your company's niche as well as your geographic are to increase exposure to high value leads.
