Desert Pearl Camp & Resort | Sam Sand Dunes | Jaisalmer Vlog After three years, I returned to Desert Pearl Camp & Resort, located amidst the stunning Sam Sand Dunes in Jaisalmer, to fulfill my promise. Sam Sand Dunes offers the ultimate desert safari experience with activities like camping, cultural programs, traditional Rajasthani cuisine (don’t miss the famous Gatte ki Sabji and Lehsun ki Chutney), camel rides, and thrilling open jeep safaris in the Thar Desert. This time, my friend Happy joined me on this Jaisalmer adventure. Upon reaching the resort in the evening, we were greeted in a traditional Rajasthani style with the vibrant beats of the dhol. After meeting Mr. Vinod Vyas, the owner of the resort, we checked into our cozy tent and immediately set out for a camel safari. The golden dunes right in front of the resort were the perfect spot to watch the sunset. It was Happy's first camel ride, and while he was a bit cautious, the experienced camel handler and our friendly camel, Maggu, made the ride safe and enjoyable. As night fell, we headed to the performance area, where we were mesmerized by the soulful Rajasthani songs and incredible dance performances by Teeja Sapera and her partner. The evening ended with a delicious traditional Rajasthani dinner under the stars. The next morning, after a hearty breakfast, we hopped into an open white Thar jeep for a desert safari, located 10-12 km from the resort. Our skilled driver, Yaaru, gave us an adrenaline-pumping dune bashing experience on the shifting sands of the Thar Desert. It was the perfect way to wrap up our stay before heading back to the resort.
