Sub-Surface Sluice Box Riffle Testing: A look at how riffles work in a subsurface sluice box.

This is a non-scientific test where I just wanted to get some visuals of how well the riffles are working and make sure that I got the water velocities right for gold recovery. I have a water window installed in one of the sluice segments so we can see exactly how the material looks while the dredge is running. My conclusion in a nutshell is that the sluice is working as well as can be expected. It catches fine gold, but will have trouble if you are after exclusively ultra fine Alberta flour gold. Over the next year I have some ideas to test improved flour gold recovery in a subsurface sluice box, but for "normal" fine gold, this thing is already working great!
