About 7-8 years ago in an ultrasound scan. I learned that my abdominal aorta had expanded. I had to undergo a surgical procedure wherein a stent graft was placed to treat the aneurysm. The procedure is done using a Stent Graft device which is a fabric tube supported by a metal framework. It is placed inside the Aneurysm, without surgically opening the surrounding tissues.
