It is sixty two years since the prototype Vulcan's first dramatic appearance at this show at a time when the British aircraft industry ruled the world and produced a long succession of incredible aircraft which proved their worth in undertaking active service with the RAF, Navy and air forces around the world. The Avro Vulcan is a jet-powered delta wing strategic bomber, which was operated by the Royal Air Force Avr from 1956 until 1984. Aircraft manufacturer A.V. Roe and Company designed the VulcanThe aircraft had no defensive weaponry, initially relying upon high-speed high-altitude flight to evade interception.
