In the heart of West London, something remarkable is unfolding. Just 100 metres behind a McDonald’s in Ealing, a family of beavers are quietly reshaping the landscape. This pioneering rewilding project is transforming Paradise Fields into a thriving urban wetland, right on the city’s doorstep. In just 16 months, these ecosystem engineers have slowed water flow, built natural habitat, and helped reduce flood risk. The beavers are back and nature’s lovin’ it!
