The moment Mike Seeger was laid in the clay they all but abandoned it for a decade, and now that it's finally out, they refuse to promote it. If one looks through their website & social media pages there's barely any mention. "Just Around the Bend" is one of the few albums in their newer inventory that bothers to acknowledge real traditional banjo music (i.e. not the commercial "folk" music of New York and DC). Perhaps it should come as no surprise that Folkways does everything in their power to bury it, conceal it, and pretend it doesn't exist.
