How To Get Out Of A Creative Block

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! If you've watched videos here on this channel before, then you know that I'm passionate about drawing every day. Life is better when you draw—it's even the title of my book! My goal is to inspire you to be creative and make art. But we all face creative blocks. Sometimes, it's tough to start drawing, even for just 5 minutes. Here's what you need to know: 1. You ARE an artist, regardless of uncertainty. 2. Avoid comparing yourself to others. 3. Don't let perfectionism hold you back. 4. Instead of aiming for grand art, focus on having fun with your favorite tools. 5. Don't be precious about your work; prioritize your wellness and art time. 6. Create art and throw it away (or the drawings you like on your wall). 7. Freedom and fluency in your art comes with regular practice. 8. Your sketchbook is your creative playground and gym. 9. Don't force it; take a break and do something else you enjoy. 10. You'll naturally gravitate back to your art supplies. Your assignment this week: make an ugly drawing.
