Second piano lesson with Lewis Feng ft. Muso Piano Teacher Isabelle Ng You can see our 5 year old is an energetic one, and fidgets a lot. Sometimes he will make comments here and there. Very important with young children that you respond to their comments - shows that you are listening. Notice he started to fidget on the piano, so I told him to get off the piano stool and kneel behind instead. Accidentally went 10 minutes overtime with young Lewis. Next lesson will keep 30 mins! Lesson summary: 1) Revise finger wiggle (fingering), treble clef/bass clef, notes CDE, rhythms crotchet, minimum & semibreve 2) Learn 5 finger exercise (starting to teach curving fingers) 3) New notes F and G 4) Revised homework pieces (four pieces from John Thompson Part 1 and two pieces from Bastien Prima A) 5) New homework pieces: Thompson: -one old piece from first lesson -one new piece Bastien: -two new pieces 6) Taught how to count steadily (by marching) Thanks!
